Vestry
Richard Stanley
I'm Richard Allen Stanley, born and raised in Nashville/Hendersonville. I have been a follower of Christ since a very young age. I grew up in a low church evangelical tradition but read my way into the Anglican tradition. I am married to Erin, and we have two children, Richard and Gigi. I own my own business, and when I'm not working, I'm spending time with my family. I enjoy studying and reading theology, church history, and world history. Additionally, I love to travel and visit historical sites. I look forward to serving more in the parish and am open to whatever God has in store for me.

I have been a member of St Joseph’s since 2018, since moving from New Jersey in 2017. I am a former long-time member of the Church of the Atonement in Tenafly, NJ, where I was the head of children’s education for 25 years, and served on the Personnel and Website Committees. I had the honor of serving as a Vestry member for several years, as well as Junior and Senior Vestry Warden.
Having earned my Masters of Library and Information Science, I served as the Asst Director of Library Services for a global advertising agency in NY and later earned my PHR, and served as Director in a law firm management consultancy and then as the Senior Admin/HR Mgr/Asst to the CEO in a senior level management placement firm.
In 2017, I retired from the workforce. My volunteer work spans 40 years and includes serving as Girl Scout troop town manager and Girl Scout leader. I consider community service and the development of
leadership skills in girls/women to be extremely important.
My husband Jack and I live in Hendersonville.
Vestry
Roselyn Baroi
I was born in 1970 in Bangladesh. My dad, John Robinson, and mom, Monica Robinson, have four children, two girls, and two boys. I’m the second child among them. Both my parents came from Christian families, but my dad was Baptist and my mom was Anglican (Episcopal). We were raised as Episcopalians. My sister and I started our elementary and middle school in a boarding school called Barisal Oxford Mission, a beautiful church in South Asia. The British built the church when Bangladesh was its colony. After we finished our studies at the boarding school, we stayed with our parents in Dhaka and used to go to St. Thomas church until our family moved to the United States.
I came to the United States in 1998 and lived with my parents in Miami, where I used to go to St. Andrews Episcopal Church. I married my husband at this church in 2001 and moved to Tennessee. In 2002, I gave birth to our son, Shane. We started coming to St. Joseph of Arimathea Church when we moved to Hendersonville in 2007 but didn’t continue until my son turned 12 and got baptized in this church. Since last year, I have started to serve as an Usher and now I am member of the Vestry.
Vestry
Diane Johnson
I was raised in the Methodist church but found myself in the Episcopal church in 1984 and have been here ever since. My husband and I were married in the Episcopal Church at Christ Church Glendale in Cincinnati, September 1986. The liturgy is very important to me and it is a place where I found a sense of peace, strength and comfort. I starting attending St Joseph’s in October 2015, when we moved here from Ohio. I have served once before on the vestry at St Joseph’s, but more importantly I serve the Lord in the following roles at St Joseph’s: as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher, or Prayer Intercessor. Serving in those positions have become a very important part in my journey of faith and I encourage others to serve the Lord in one or more of these positions as you are so called.
For my professional career I spent 40 years in the financial industry starting out as a teller and ending my career as VP of Audit and Compliance in the Security Division. I then had a second career as serving as the Library Director of the Hendersonville Public Library and the Treasurer on the Sumner County Library Board. Both of these roles, gave me the opportunity to serve a very diverse community with grace, respect and understanding. I am currently fully retired at this time; except most days you will find me in my quilting room at home.
